Soft tofu stew with sliced beef (Beef Sundubu Jjigae)

Korean spicy soft tofu stew

Sundubu-jjigae or soft tofu stew is a jjigae in Korean cuisine. The dish is made with freshly curdled soft tofu, vegetables, sometimes mushrooms, onion, optional seafood or meat with specially seasoned sauce. It is normally eaten with steamed rice.

  • A pack of Sundubu

  • Sliced beef

  • Assorted vegetables

  • Magic Sundubu sauce

  1. Add 400 ml of water into the cooking pot and slowly dissolve 2 spoonfuls of seasoning sauce into the water.
  2. Add the provided pre-prepared vegetables, mushrooms, meat and let it simmer for 5 minutes in high heat.
  3. Reduce the heat into medium and add soft tofu, spring onions, chillies and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
  4. You may add in extra water or the leftover seasoning sauce in your own will.
